Furniture Sander Job Description

• Responsibilities: Smooth and prepare wooden furniture surfaces for finishing, remove imperfections, and ensure a flawless base for staining or painting.

• Qualifications: Proven experience in furniture sanding or a similar role within woodworking and furniture manufacturing. Strong knowledge of various sanding tools and techniques, including hand sanding nd power sanding. 

• Skills: Attention to detail, experience with various sanding techniques and tools, and a commitment to producing high-quality craftsmanship. Ability to operate sanding machines, assess furniture for damage, and apply appropriate sanding techniques for different types of wood and finishes. 

• Work Environment: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to safety protocols and best practices, and provide feedback on production processes to enhance efficiency and quality. 

Pay is based on experience.

A positive attitude is a must. The employee will spend the majority of their shift on their feet. Employees are required to work safely, efficiently and adhere to all company policies, procedures and work standards.

Job Requirements:

• Preparing screen printing stencils.
• Mixing and loading ink.
• Cleaning and prepping parts.
• Reading and understanding work orders to apply the correct screened artwork to the proper furniture component.
• Properly use different sandpaper, rubbing oil, detail spray gun, and hand tools to repair the furniture.
• Be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Keep work center clean and organized.
• Consistently meet deadlines, sometimes under pressure.

Standard Chair of Gardner is looking for a dependable, hard working, focused individual to fill the position of Pin Striper. Pin striping is the application of a very thin line of paint or other material called a pin stripe, and is generally used for decoration. The candidate must be reliable and have a solid work history. A positive attitude is a must. The employee will spend the majority of their shift on their feet. Employees are required to work safely, efficiently and adhere to all company policies, procedures and work standards.

Responsibilities

1. Using a brush, apply gold stripes to designated areas on our product line.
2. Mix the materials to proper viscosity.
3. The stripes need to be consistently painted cleanly and completely to comply with quality standards.
4. Proper use of sanding pads and detail gun if minor touch ups are required.
5. Meet or exceed standard output levels. 
6. Follow all company policies

Requirements:

1. Lift up to 25lbs
2. A keen eye for details.
3. The ability to use hands skillfully.

Salary based upon experience.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm .

Saturdays 7:00 am to 11:00 am

Job Requirements:

• Follow directions provided by trainer to assemble furniture. Which will include the proper use of hand and air tools, fasteners, different grit sand paper, and assembling procedure.
• Do not deviate from approved sample.
• The ability to lift 25 pounds above your head.
